We’re making some changes to the X Terms of Service. Below is a summary of the updates that go into effect on October 9, 2026. You may also see a notification about these updates in the X app.

• Governing law and disputes: We’ve updated our Terms to clarify how disputes are resolved. For users outside the EU, EFTA States, and the UK, disputes will be handled in Texas courts under Texas law, and we’ve added that if the court venue in these Terms cannot be used, the dispute will be resolved through arbitration. We’ve also provided specific examples of our corporate affiliates as to which these provisions apply.
  
  

• Class action and jury trial waiver: Where permitted by law, we’ve updated our Terms to state that you and X waive the right to a jury trial, and, as in our prior Terms, you and X waive the right to bring or join a class, collective, or other representative action against the other. This applies to all users and, to the extent permitted by law, also covers our corporate affiliates.
  
  

• User content responsibilities: We’ve updated our Terms to better reflect that you are responsible for your use of the Services, including features that perform autonomous actions on your behalf. 
  
  

• For recipients of the X service in the European Union, EFTA States, or the United Kingdom: In addition to the changes described above, we’ve clarified that the choice of Irish law does not take away protections that cannot be waived under the law of the country where you live.

We encourage you to read these changes in full since they govern your use of X. If you continue to use our products or services on or after October 9, 2026, you agree to the updated Terms of Service.
